Connecting the stately capital (Chora) with its cosmopolitan port (Kapsali), this path offers panoramic views of three seas and some of the most breathtaking images of the Mediterranean.<\/p>\n\n<h2>The Route: Step by Step<\/h2>\n\n<h3>1. The Castle Breeze and the &#8220;Eye of Crete&#8221;<\/h3>\n<p>The adventure begins under the ramparts of the <strong>Venetian Castle<\/strong>. As the path winds around the rock, the view opens up to the south:<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n<li>The impressive <strong>Trachilas<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The mysterious rocky islet <strong>Chytra<\/strong> with its triangular shape.<\/li>\n<li>On the horizon, on clear days, the peaks of the mountains of <strong>Crete<\/strong> emerge.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h3>2. Into the Pine Forest<\/h3>\n<p>Leaving the historic stone, you enter a dense <strong>pine forest<\/strong>. The smell of resin and the natural shade make the route enjoyable. From above, <strong>Kapsali<\/strong> is revealed with its two characteristic bays in the shape of an &#8220;O&#8221;, while in the distance the monastery of <strong>Agios Ioannis on the Cliff<\/strong> can be seen.<\/p>\n\n<h3>3. English Architecture and Hidden Beaches<\/h3>\n<p>Descending, you will cross an elegant <strong>stone bridge from the British era<\/strong>. At this point, take a look to the right: the hidden, turquoise beach <strong>Sparagario<\/strong> looks like a fjord between the rocks. A few minutes later, your feet will step onto the sandy beach of Kapsali.<\/p>\n\n<h3>The Return (Circular Experience)<\/h3>\n<p>To complete your experience, you can go uphill from the main road. You will pass by the historic <strong>Primary School<\/strong>, discover small Byzantine churches at the foot of the rock and get lost in the whitewashed streets of Chora until you reach the starting point again.<\/p>\n\n<p><\/p><blockquote><strong>Expert Advice:<\/strong> Start the route late in the afternoon.
