The enchanting natural landscapes of the island!

The natural areas in Kythira fascinate the visitor of the island from the very first moment. The rich flora, the natural sites such as the Miloi in the village of Mylopotamos, and Karavas, with springs, running water in to the vegetation of plane trees. There are many such gorges and gorges on the island, since the morphology of the land favors the creation of such areas. Most of them end up in the sea forming beautiful beaches on the coastlines of the island.
On the island since ancient times, the cultivation of the olive tree, beyond the practical needs of living that it covered, was and continues to be an integral part of the natural environment, completing the physiognomy of the landscape.
