Kalami Beach located in the center and west side of Kythira, is one of the most small and picturesque beaches on the island, overlooking the Ionian Sea. It consists of coarse and fine pebbles, shaped like a horseshoe, surrounded by steep high cliffs. The path to the beach passes through the village Mylopotamos, one of the most beautiful villages, still in the monastery of Panagia Orfanos where the road stops the car, and continues its path to the top of steep slope - the cliff leading to the magnificent beach. The descent into the abyss requires attention.
